OVERVIEW

Climbing up to the top of the 2714 MASL high Mt. Kalawitan located at the heart of the Cordillera region North of Luzon is both a challenging experience and a rewarding hike. Mt. Kalawitan is one of the highest peaks in Luzon and climbing it is always a challenging and humbling experience for a true adventurer. With the pine and thick moss forests surrounding the mountain together with the dwarf bamboos that are abundant around its premises, Mt. Kalawitan is a spectacle of nature’s beauty and biodiversity.

The journey towards the peak of the mountain can be an experience to get closer to nature. Aside from the natural beauty that it possesses, Mt. Kalawitan is also home to a thriving culture of indigenous people. To try the food cooked by locals and to dance with them around a bonfire with gongs will definitely take your whole journey to a different level. The experience of climbing the mountain is not only a memorable adventure but a learning experience as well. The adventurers who have already been on top of the mountain can be a witness of the knowledge about nature and culture that Mt. Kalawitan has imparted to them.
